Oracle VirtualBox allows you to use multiple operating systems on one computer. Each operating system is installed as a separate virtual machine. I currentley have a selection of Windows and Linux flavors installed on my local window 8 machine networked to my home network. I find it very useful to be able to open a new operating system in a new window.
